When I create, I go to another place; I am seeking calm serenity. I escape to my studio and listen to soft inspiring music. I get lost in the process of creating. I experience inner joy.
I work with images using light, reflection and color to explore the world around me. Many of my pieces are inspired by nature. I take pleasure capturing a moment and presenting it in a new way. I enjoy creating realistic, semi-realistic and abstract pieces; using color, texture and shape to tell a story.
My pieces reflect subjects from my environment, my life. I have a huge appreciation of nature and love hiking, kayaking doing yoga and gardening.
I have retired from my day job and I am spending more time creating and teaching. I offer a variety of workshops at my studio and at local wineries. Workshops include learning to get the best effects with alcohol inks, creating a mixed media collage and paint pouring.
I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Carr's Landing Art Group.
I feel truly blessed to live in the Okanagan which gives me the inspiration to create.
I show my work at the Lake Country Art Gallery, Art Walk and the Carr’s Landing Art Tour. My work is in collections throughout Canada.
